I have installed PowerBuilder 12.5 on my 64-bit Windows 7
computer. It is installed in (C:\Program Files
(x86)\Sybase\PowerBuilder 12.5). I'm having trouble
installing the 64-bit version of Appeon Developer 6.5. I get
the following error message:
---------
Setup cannot find PowerBuilder. Setup will be terminated.
----------

I have tried uninstalling PowerBuilder and installing again
but does not help. Also I found a solution in the
Troubleshooting installation guide, which asks to create a
registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sybase\EA
Studio\4.0\Shared with the with the string value of
'Location' and the data as Sybase Shared directory ie.
(C:\Program Files (x86)\Sybase\Shared). It does not help
also. Could it be because the above troubleshooting guide
seems to be for Appoen 2.7 so there could be some other
number in the registry than the '4.0'?

Thank you for any suggestion.

Hi Jay;

Only Appeon version 6.5.1 will detect and is compatible with PB
12.5.x. If you are trying to install v6.5.0 - then your observation
would be correct.
