Hi,

I wonder if PB 15 will be able to merge multiple PDFs into a single PDF? It
will be nice if it does so that our app doesn't have to rely on any third
party software.

Hi Ramon,

Does Amyuni allow your DW to dw_1.Print() or dw_1.SaveAs()? or how do you
achieve your PDF creation?

Eddy.-

You print to a virtual PDF printer that you setup in your installation.
It really does work well. We've been using it for about 2 yrs now...

Hi Adrian,

I'm glad to hear that it has a virtual PDF printer. I just downloaded the
eval of PDF Creator ActiveX (COM), but it doesn't provide the installation.
It simply provides a .zip file for doc, sample, and DLL. It doesn't install
a virtual PDF printer. Am I looking for a wrong product? Which product do
you use? Would you like to share the link? I'd like to take a look at it and
eval it.

Thanks.

We use "PDF Converter PRO Developer 4.5" it comes with a couple of DLL's
and with a silent setup that you can run with your installation software.

Hi Eddy.-

We use "PDF Converter PRO Developer 4.5" it comes with a couple of DLL's
and with a silent setup that you can run with your installation software.

http://amyuni.com/en/developer/pdfconverter

If you need any help let me know...

Regards,

Adrian

Hi Chris,

It is not totally free!

If you deploy it with your application ... beware, read this:
http://www.pdflabs.com/docs/pdftk-license/

We had this problem with GhostScript ... so we jumped to an Amyuni license.
Of course pdftk only ask you for 24 USD ... Ghostscript license
requeriment were thousands of dollars.

Chris,

I agree. $24 is a very low price for such a nice tool.

Per user? That appears to be the way the license operates.

You may want to contact the company
(http://www.pdflabs.com/company/contact/) to make sure here.

They have a link to volume discounts
(http://www.shareit.com/pricescale.html?sessionid=2189177828&random=74d1b2e6453b3477a36b5aac4d667866&productid=300419365)
that shows a schedule from 1 to 15625+ units. Given those quantities it
seems odd that license fee would be per developer/application.

The verbiage is admittedly not clear, so could go either way.
