Does ASE 15.x support the creation of a synonym or alias for
a view or table? Typically

create synonym synonym_name for schema.view_name

the synonym name is referenced in the source code. Thanks.

Not that I'm aware of. There are two different methods that you can use
to simulate it:

1) alias the user to the owner of the object(s) in the database
2) use views to reference the objects

Having synonyms would be a wonderful thing IMHO.

Unfortunately, ASE does not.
