I have an app that receives a textimage (csv list) and I
need to pass it into a sproc that will write it to the
table. Since sprocs will not accept text or image datatypes,
is there some other way to do this? Perhaps a way of passing
a pointer to the variable containing the text image?

thx,
rick_806

Either you need ASE 15.7 where you can create variables and parameters
of datatype text or image, or you need to put the data in a (temporary)
table, which you then access from the proc.
Pointers etc. are not available in SQL.
