We are frequently getting when backing up a disk device from
an SP.
The SP aborts in the middle of execution and creates orphan
sybmbuf.exe processes as can be see in the task manager of
windows. Then it retries to execute backup giving rise to
device "already in use"
But when manually run from command prompt this error is not
encountered. How can we fix this error?
The server version is Adaptive Server Enterprise/12.5.4/EBF

Is there any indication of why the stored procedure aborts?
Anything in the ASE errorlog at the time?
