Hi,

Is there a way to undo a disk init command? How do I check
if the device is not currently used in any database? Thanks

sp_dropdevice

What version of ASE ? 15.x has a column device number (vdevno) in sysusages
which will match the vdevno in sysdevices.

sp_dropdevice will give an error if the device is still in use.

Luc.

Also, if the device was a file system device, to completely
undo disk init you will have to delete the file from the
os (rm <filename>) after using sp_dropdevice.
