Whenever I enable 32 bit in the app pool, AEM shows an error on the login
page. As soon as I set it back it no longer shows. The error is:
System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for
'Appeon.Util.Mic.ProcessUtil' threw an exception. --->
System.BadImageFormatException: An attempt was made to load a program with
an incorrect format. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007000B) at
Appeon.Util.Mic.EventThread.InitMethod(DCall dc, DClearParms dcp, DAddInt
da, DAddString das, DAddBool dab, DAddLong dal, DAddShort dast, DGetInt dgi,
DGetString dgs, DGetBool dgb, DGetLong dgl, DGetShort dgst) at
Appeon.Util.Mic.EventThread.GetInstance() at
Appeon.Util.Mic.ProcessUtil..cctor() --- End of inner exception stack
trace --- at Appeon.Util.Mic.ProcessManager.MemCheck() at
Logon.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e)

I tried to use the 32 bit version but I could not extract the zip files. I
tried using 3 different unzippers but no luck.

Hi;

If you got the ZIP files from ISUG then I would suggest using WinRAR.

Hi;

You might want to try *completely* deleting your application in IIs
and then re-deploying it again fresh from Appeon. I am wondering if you
have a mixture of 32 & 64 bit items.

OK ... I am confused. I thought you had a problem with your PB
application not the AEM?

I was able to clear up the problem with the duplicate .css entry in the app
pool.config file (which popped up every time I trid to log on to AEM after
recycling the WWW3 service). I followed you suggestion and tried deleting
the application and redeploying. That didn't work, but I then edited the
default application pool in IIS and saved it. That did correct the problem.
I appreciate your help which did point me in the right direction. Thanks.
