Hi,
I am trying to send mail from my ASA8.0 database server when the backup
occurs. The backup is done via a scheduled event. I only want the message
sent when an error occurs. The errors are detected, but the mail never
leaves my network. When I tested this it worked when the mail destination
was my mail account and the server was literally next to the exchange
server. The next phase is how does this message get sent from my customer
to me.

My procedure uses XP_StartMail, XP_SendMail, XP_StopMail.

Example:
My customer is in VA, the backup failed, the DBServer is Win2000.
My email account is DBA@Somewhere.Com.

What needs to be installed on the customer DBServer?

Thanks in advance.

Since this question was not answered here, may I suggest that if the
problem is still happening, please repost the question to
sybase.public.sqlanywhere.general? ianywhere.public.general is generally
used for ianywhere products that do not have its own newsgroup (eg. Manage
Anywhere, Mail Anywhere etc.). There are more ASA experts monitoring that
sybase.public.sqlanywhere.general and you'd be able to get better advice.
