Does anyone have a recommendation of how to integrate word processing
into an app? In my c/s I use an ole object to open MS Word on the
user's desktop. This works pretty good for C/S. It converts to the
web using Appeon, but only opens the document, I "lose" the connection
between the ole object and my app when I run on the web and I can't
tell when the ole object is closed, can't save changes, etc. (I am
activating offsite, because I don't like the way it implements when
using inplace.)

Is anyone doing something similar? Are there any recommendations/
solutions using activex that I could use instead. My "document" is
actually stored in a database as a blob and I'd like to keep it that
way, but I'd take one that just opened and saved to a file on my web
server, if it would work.

Suggestions?

I contacted a company about their product pinEdit Web. They say that
it may work if I can integrate a a JSP or an ASP.Net page inside
Powerbuilder. Has anyone done this? Is it possible with Appeon? Any
guidance would be helpful.

Chris

We're using an ole from Subsystems(www.subsystems.com) that
is a word processor. It works great in PB and seems to be
working in Appeon. We're just now getting into the
migration, so I can't say there will be no problems, but so
far it's OK.
