Going from 7 to 8 will also require a dbunload...

We've done the dbunload reload before and are choosing to simplify or
upgrade as we are not using any new features just wanting to upgrade all
our users to a newer ASA version 8.02.

The 8.x database engine assumes an 8.x database file format. While it can
run a 7.x or older file format, you may well experience performance issues
running an older file format on an 8.x engine.
