i was wondering if i could run a php page or coldfusion page from a linux
server but have it refrencing a sybase database sitting on a windows
machine?
if there is a way could you please let me know how.
php or coldfusion.
any help greatly apreciated.

I am assuming you have rebuilt your PHP to include the sqlanywhere support
(1.0.4 I believe is the latest.)

If so, your connection string should include the ENG, DBF, and the tcp link
parameters. These will set the connection to look to the server name
associated with the eng and the tcp parameter.
