We want to upgrade the server OS from NT4 SP6 to Windows 2000. ASE 12.0
runs on that server, if we upgrade to Windows 2000 will we have any
problems. Do I have to do any particular thing after we move to Win 2000.
Any info is really appreciated.

The only problems we have encountered so far with ASE 12.0 on Windows 2000
is that the installation program is very unreliable...... i.e. program
groups not created, there may also be a problem with the ODBC drivers not
being installed.

The db Server itself runs ok on Windows 2000.

When you install Sybase on W2K all the shortcuts are put in the
C:\winnt\profiles\all users directory. Need to move or copy to C:\documents
and settings\all users for them to show up in the program groups.

cheers,
Thuc

Certain versions of SQL Advantage don't work well on Win2000. Be sure to use the files
from an 11.9.2 install.
