Is there any way to detect the current position of a cursor, in
characters, in a DW field?

Here's an example. Say that we have a DW with an editable column,
which has focus. The column currently contains no value.

1. At this stage, the cursor is at position 1 (or 0, depending on
what you use as your starting point).
2. If I type a single character, the cursor is then at position 2 (or
1).
3. If I type the word "cat", and position the cursor at the end, then
it is at position 4 (or 3).
4. If I move the cursor so it is positioned between the "c" and the
"a", then it is at position 2 (or 1).

What I want to know is: is there a method that I can call that will
tell me that cursor position?

It's not like the world will stop spinning if I can't obtain this
value, but it will add a nice touch to the user interface I have in
mind.

I'm using PB 11.2 build 8407.

Thanks!

Sounds like the Position() method.

Funny how you can use a tool for years and still not know all the
things it can do. Position() is exactly what I needed. Thanks,
Jerry!

After all these years I still sometimes find new crannies myself!
