My Publications at the remote have been updated to include the new
table as well. Is there a step I missed in order to make this work?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Jennifer

The ML Log indicates that the remote is synchronizing using a script
version named "1.0".

I. 2009-09-17 11:40:19. <3942> Request from "Dbmlsync Version
10.0.1.3831" for: remote ID: ea2b042d-ad01-43ed-ace3-6440f4aeef39,
user name: 149, version: 1.0

However, the SQL you provided that adds the scripts for the new table
created the scripts with a script version of "scripted_upload_1.0".

EXEC ML_ADD_TABLE_SCRIPT 'scripted_upload_1.0','Packer', ...

I suspect that you wanted to created your scripts with version "1.0" and
not "scripted_upload_1.0".

Thanks for the Reply Reg.

Your suggestion (changing the version to 1.0) got me past that error
message, however I have come across another one that I am hoping you
can help me with. The message I am getting now has to do with
ml_column table. When I ran the exec ml_add_table_script it did not
add records to the ml_column table. Is there another quick way to add
these without having to do it all manually? Also the idx in the
ml_column table, does it refer to the tables pks or does it mean
something else?

Thanks
Jennifer

If you're using named parameters in your synchronization scripts, and
you add a column to a synchronizing table, then you'll need to manually
run ml_add_column to add the new column. The idx column in the table
refers to the order of the columns at the remote database, so if you've
somehow added a column into the middle of the table (possibly by
dropping + recreating the table), then you'll need to first clear out
the entries for the table and then re-add them in the correct order.

I suspect that the only reason you didn't need to manually call
ml_add_column the first time was because you deployed a synchronization
model. The code generated for the model creates the calls to the
ml_add_column stored procedure for you.

Hi Reg,

Do you need to add every column in a table or just the primary keys?

Also you said the columns at the remote site, does that mean any
columns I'm populating on consolidated (ie:ml.UserID) doesn't need a
column in the ml_column table because it doesn't exist at the remote.

Thanks again for your help,

Jennifer

Every column involved in synchronization should be in the ml_column
table if you're using named parameters in your synch scripts.

Hi Reg,

Thanks for the additional info. I have added the rows to the
ml_column table and have been working through some of the kinks I had
with the scripts I wrote. I have come across one error I am hoping
you can give some insight into. I am getting a FK error on one of my
tables that points to the Packer table. Currently there are no
records on the consolidated db for Packer (as I have yet to have a
successful sync). The log on the remote shows a warning when it does
the upload for the packer table and it appears that there was a
conflict (not sure why as there is only 1 record to upload and no
records exist on the consolidated). I believe this is why I get the
actual error cause the Packer record was never uploaded. Could you
please help to figure out why the Packer record is not being uploaded?

Thanks,
Jennifer

There are typically only a few reasons why a row might not be
uploaded.

NOTE: I have not read through your previous posts.

1. The row was not committed (unlikely).
2. The row was previously uploaded and your scripts did not handle it
(possible).
3. The row was inserted before the publication / subscription was
created or re-created (possible).
4. You are using scripted uploads (unlikely) and your logic is
incorrect.

You will have to provide some idea of the above.
