Hi,

I am currenlty working on a Siebel project. We are using Siebel99 on mobile
clients which are using SQL Anywhere databases as a remote database.

We are facing performances problems regarding queries that are ran on these
data bases. Therefore I am looking for any kind of information regarding
SQL Anywhere performance analysis and tuning.

Does anybody suggest a tool to use in order to analyse queries ran on a SQL
Anywhere remote client?

Has anybody already fixed performance problem on SQL Anywhere through
Siebel standard tools?

thx for your help.

We might know about them but am not sure if the you're pointing out
performance issues that has been reported or not. And there had been a lot
of work done to address these performance issues in terms of fixes,
database option settings, estimates, startup events, etc. etc. etc.

I'd tend to suggest if you could consider contacting Siebel first. They
could really help you to identify, depends on what versions of the Siebel
solution you have, whether these fixes or modifications have taken place in
your environment, or even if the performance problems you're reported
corresponds to queries they already know about. If necessary, we could
count on Siebel contacting us regarding any new query performance issues
that arises.

Thanks for your answer. We've just launched an action involving Siebel on
our side. Nevertheless, if there is any existing on line information that I
could read, please let me know where i could find it.

Thank you for your help.
