I just setup up a new (larger faster) hard drive in my nt server. I loaded
the operating system and Sybase 11.03 and then copied the .dat files over
and with a little tweaking it runs fine.

The problem is that I can no longer perform a disk dump to a mapped network
drive on another computer. I get a "code 5 message access is denied." This
worked fine before the reinstallation of Sybase.

Does anyone know how to fix this remote disk dump problem?

Ken

Hi Ken,

You can change the account for the backup server and it won't give you this
message anymore.
However, this is not supported by Sybase. Only the classic remote backup
procedure with two backup servers guarantees the i/o on the remote machine.

Hope this helps,
