I have Access 97 with a SQL6.5 back in. In access all of my tables are
linked tables. When Access is opened it asks for a username and password to
the link tables. I would like to be able to capture the username an
password that was provided. Any ideas on how to do this?

Thanks,

Bret

Public Function ConnectToSQL() As Boolean
g_strUserId = NetWorkUserID() 'two functions
g_strPassword = GetUserPwd()
'Set connection strings
g_strConnect="ODBC;DRIVER=SQLSERVER};SERVER="
_
& APPSERVER & ";UID=" & g_strUserId & _
";PWD=" & g_strPassword & ";DATABASE=" & APPDB

'Set ODBC-Direct workspace
Set wsODBC = DBEngine.CreateWorkspace
(APPSERVER, _
g_strUserId, g_strPassword,
dbUseODBC)

'Set current mdb
Set db = CurrentDb

'Set Database on SQL Server
Set dbRemote = wsODBC.OpenDatabase("", ,
False, g_strConnect)

ConnectToSQL = True

End Function

You have to create connection string with PWD

Hi Bret,

The sybase.public.sqlserver.nt is Sybase's Adaptive Server Enterprise (formerly
known as Sybase SQL Server). The newsgroups you want are the microsoft.*
