Hi,

I am not sure if a case is open for this or not but how about having a
utility which would help us extracting the bcp out of all tables in a
database with a single command. This would help a lot specially in cases of
cross platform migration which is not supported by simple dump/load in case
of Sybase.

Regards
Hemant

We have created a plugin to Power Designer called 'Power Transfer',
that will allow you to transfer both schema and data from just about
any ODBC-accessible database to ASE (including Oracle, Microsoft,
Access, etc). PowerDesigner 9.5.1 is required; PowerTransfer is a
plugin that is freely available from Sybase Developer Network.

Regards,
Steve

I believe there is an open feature request to have SybMigrate support
other data sources. However, it is fairly easy to create a simple
script
that does what you ask for here, something like the following (assumes
all
tables are owned by dbo):

----------------------------------------------------------------------
isql -Usa -P -o bcp_out.script << EOF
select "bcp mydatabase.."+name+ " out " + name + "-Usa -P -c "
from mydatabase..sysobjects where type = 'U'
go
EOF
source bcp_out.script
----------------------------------------------------------------------
