Hello,

I just installed SQL Anywhere Studio 8 on Win 2K Server. The problem I am
having is when I go to open Sybase Central or Interactive SQL (ISQL), I get
an hour glass for a few seconds then back to the arrow with noting opening
and not error. Did I install incorrectly?

Thanks,

Dan

I am not familiar with Java runtime, but it sounds like you have an
older version of the JDK installed.
I have seen that before trying to install Oracle which used a newer
version of JDK than what I had installed.

I finally figured it out... Turns out that the video driver was not
installed and was using a generic VGA driver. For whatever reason I guess
those tools won't run with a video driver like that. You would think that
it would let you know...

Thanks for the reponse,

Dan

I'm curious: how did you figure it out?
