I have a client who wants to run ASA under Windows NT running on an AS/400
iseries model 820 and domino 270 in one box. The 270 is running Windows
NT. Will ASA version 8 run under these conditions on the 270?

Thanks in advance for the help!

What processor is in the AS400 box?

I don't think that I fully understand the configuration you are
describing. I'm used to AS400 boxes being PowerPC chips in which case ASA
would not run on them, with the possible exception of running in an
emulator.

The AS/400 iseries 270 is a 64 bit processor of what variety I do not know.
The customer is currently running windows nt on this box. He says that
sql server 2000 will run on it but he would prefer to use ASA if posible
and so would we. Apparently the iseries boxes can be partitioned and
multiple operating systems can run in each partition.

I'm afraid this falls into the try it and see what happens category.
AFAIK we have not, and do not, test on a system like this.

On the other hand we do have a version of ASA for AIX which. IMHO, is
more likely to work sucessfully.
