I am attempting to run two services on SQL Anywhere 6.0 and while one
starts successfully, the other hangs and gives the message "Start Pending."
This then forces me to hard shut down in order to stop. Any ideas?

try the same thing from the command line. That should tell you what
resource they are competing over
