I wish to see the following feature enhancement in ASE.

1. Before Trigger.
2. A TABLE variable which temporary hold the result set instead of creating
a real table in tempdb. It can relief the contention on tempdb and avoiding
I/O.
3. Referential Integrity on Column datatype. You can refer to one column's
datatype instead of hardcode it. for example

declare @a @Sales.ID

@a has same datatype as the one in SALES.ID

Sybase, can u do that for us ?

#3 is already possible (and has always been), by using user-defined
datatypes. First create it with sp_addtype, then use it in columns and
variables.

yes, but if I change the column datatype (i.e. change varchar(6) to
varchar(20)), we have to change everything again.
