Does Sybase offer packages for stored procedures like oracle?

Would stored procedure groups do the job? You define your procs like:
procname;1, procname;2, ...., procname;n, but can drop all of them by
referencing procname without the number.

I'm not terribly familiar with Oracle, but when I worked with DB2/MVS
packages, this functionality was one of the most desired aspects of
packages.

Groups won't do it - you'd have to name all your procs "foo" and then
distinguish them as "foo;1" , "foo;2", etc.

I concur on the request - for the main reason that Oracle allows you to pin
the PACKAGE in procedure cache. That would be very convenient, but I'm sure
there are complexities w/ this since Sybase procs are not re-entrant and
Oracle procs are.
