We've been thinking about migrating our databases from SA 5,0,02 to ASE11.5.
I understand that System 11 didn't support row-level triggers. How about
ASE?

As Eoin mentioned ... Sybase uses set-based triggers. However, once
you're in the trigger you can access the rows in these sets one at a
time via cursors or a pseudo-cursor construct.

An insert trigger will have access to a worktable called 'inserted' --
which contains a copy of what was just inserted.
A delete trigger will have access to a worktable called 'deleted' --
which contains the rows that were just deleted.
An update trigger will have access to both worktables, 'inserted' and
'deleted' -- where 'inserted' contains the 'new' rows and 'deleted'
contains the 'old' rows.

No, ASE uses set based (i.e. statement level) triggers. It doesn't
offer instance based (row level) triggers.
