Hello,

I am having a problem using the DBCConvert program bundled with the OLE
DB provider. I keep getting the following error:

Executing SQL Failed
SQL String: CREATE DATABASE [H:\DATABASE\ADVANTAGE 9.10\SERVER\IN.add];
Error: 1429
LineNo: 279
Message: OLE IDispatch exception code 0 from Advantage OLE DB Provider:
Error 7200: AQE Error: State = HY000; NativeError = 7040; [iAnywhere
Solutions][Advantage SQL][ASA] Error 7040: File creation error. Verify
that the specified path and filename is correct and that no other users
have the file open. CREATE DATABASE [H:\DATABASE\ADVANTAGE 9.10\SERVER
\IN.add];
Procedure: executesqlstatement
Details: OLE IDispatch exception code 0 from Advantage OLE DB Provider:
Error 7200: AQE Error: State = HY000; NativeError = 7040; [iAnywhere
Solutions][Advantage SQL][ASA] Error 7040: File creation error. Verify
that the specified path and filename is correct and that no other users
have the file open. CREATE DATABASE [H:\DATABASE\ADVANTAGE 9.10\SERVER
\IN.add];
StackLevel: 4
LineContents: oResultSet = oCurrentCmd.Execute

I have checked, and no other users have the database opened, and I have
sufficient privileges in the area it's trying to create them at
(administrator privileges), so I'm unsure of what else to check to get
this program working correctly. I also had someone else try on another
set of files seperately, and they got the exact same issue.

Thanks!

Hi Eric,

Can you open your ads_err.adt and post all the records in the table from
around the time of the 7040 error?

Best Regards,

In article <4a4a91d3@solutions.advantagedatabase.com>,
LanceSc@ExtendSys.com says...

Sure thing. It's attached in a .zip file. I went ahead and cleared out
the old one, and retried running dbcconvert so that the contents would
only pertain to the DBCconvert errors. Hope this helps!

Thanks!
