I'm using the following VB .NET function to load an image from an image data
type field and save it into a file.

Private Function LoadImage1()
Dim mStream As New ADODB.Stream
With mStream
.Type = adTypeBinary
.Open
.Write rst("IMAGE FIELD NAME")
.SaveToFile "DESTINATION FILE NAME", adSaveCreateOverWrite
End With
Set mStream = Nothing
End Function

It works fine when I connect to SQL Server using the MS SQL Server 2000 Data
Provider. However, when I try the same code connecting to ASA 8.02 using the
ASA OLE DB Data Provider it dies on

Hello Ed,

First I will recomend the use of SQL Anywhere .NET Data Provider "AsaClient"

Next, We need to know the version the build number of
SQL Anywhere.

Note: Is the application diying when you destroy the mStream object ?

Thank you

Ali

Have you tried using MS's OLEDB provider with our ASA ODBC driver in order to
compare the behaviour? What was the result?
