Hi All!

I try out to work through ODBC with Sybase SQL Anywhere 5.5.

My connect string

ConnStr ='DRIVER = {{Sybase SQL Anywhere
5.0};ENG=xbbase;COMMLINKS=tcpip{{host=192.168.1.17};DSN=xbbase;UID=creator'
SQLRETURN=SQLDriverConnect(SQLHDBC,Whandle#,ConnStrIn,SQL_NTS,ConnStrOut,255
,lRez,SQL_DRIVER_PROMPT)

Who can will suggest as to indicate a name of the translator - 'Sybase SQL
Anywhere 5.0 Translator'

With what there parameter?

Best regards,
Alexander

It's probably easier to set it up with the ODBC Administrator ...
but once you do that you will see in the ODBC.INI (file or
registry) with these entries in our DSN section:

TranslationDLL= ....\WIN32\wtr50t.dll
TranslationName=Sybase SQLAnywhere 5.5 Transla[tor]
TranslationOption=1

If you don't want those on a per DSN basis then according to SQLConnect
(Core)
[and the SQL Anywher online hlep file but the reference for ODBC itself will
also
have this]

A different translation DLL can be loaded by calling SQLSetConnectOption
with the SQL_TRANSLATE_DLL option. A translation option can be specified by
calling SQLSetConnectOption with the SQL_TRANSLATE_OPTION option.
