HI all!
1:I created a asa DB use the command:dbinit -n -z utf8 f:\db\cm.db.
2:I created some tables in Sybase Center
3:I inerted some datas which contains chinese by VB program, the codes like:
rs3.AddNew
rs3.Fields(0) = "comp_id5"
rs3.Fields(1).Value = " ÆóÒµÃû³Æ a a_vb"

rs3.Fields(2) = " ·¨ÈËÐÕÃûa"
rs3.Fields(3) = "8613926523501"
rs3.Fields(4) = "111111"
rs3.Update
4: The datas were inerted successfully, and,(chinese data) can be view in
Sybase Center properly.
5:I create an Utralite DB with the same structure.
6:I used Mobilink to sync data between the ASA DB and Utralite DB.
7: The question occured: some datas which contains chinese became chaos code
that cann't read!

Who can tell me why and how to resolve the question?

My problem is : Chinese data inert by VB program can not be show properly in
Utralite db when the data was synchonized between ASA and Utralite DB.

The ASA version is 8.0.2.3601.

*The Utralite DB i create by the command:
ulinit -c "uid=dba;pwd=sql;filedsn=F:\files\vb\testInformix\db\cm.dsn" -f
cm.usm -n *

*dbeng parameter used in dsn file :
Start=d:\Program Files\Sybase\SQL Anywhere 8\win32\dbeng8.exe -c 8m

*dbmlsrv8 parameters:
start /min dbmlsrv8.exe -v -vr -vs -o custdbsrv.log -c
"filedsn=F:\files\vb\testInformix\db\cm.dsn"

I want to get records from an Informix DB ,then insert them into ASA DB(by a
VB program),then synchronize the Utralite DB(used in PDA) with the ASA DB by
ML

(I have developed a project use EVB and Utralite DB successfully, whicd
insert data by PDA and then synchronize with ASA DB)
I have implemented the flows successfully.
But the data contained Chinese in ASA DB contain some unexpected addition
code(the addition code seem to be added by VB6 program, which made the data
can be view properly in sybase Central but can not be showed properly in
Utralite DB)

in Sybase ISQL use the SQL command:

update comp_base_info set comp_name='ÄãºÃ'+comp_name+'ÄãºÃ'

then ,the new addition data 'ÄãºÃ'can not be showed properly but the Chinese
'comp_name' data can be showed properly as before.
The experiment shows that the data inert by VB6 program contained some
unexpected code.
