When will Sybase confirm what is and is not in 12.5.1? The version must be
close to being feature locked to make a Q3 release as indicated at
sybase.com. It would be nice to know if this is a release to hold out a few
more months for or if migration efforts should ignore this and focus in on
12.5.0.3 etc.

As far as I know, migrating from 12.5.0.3 to 12.5.1 will not be a full
upgrade (like f.i. 12.0 to 12.5) but an EBF-type upgrade (i.e.
install the software and restart the server), so if you still have
to upgrade a server from a pre 12.5 release, I wouldn't wait for
12.5.1.

Has anyone found some documentation regarding the new commands in 12.5.1. I
have the Beta, but rather difficult to test the new feature with doc!

I suggest you move these question to the 12.5.1 beta newsgroup (see
the beta pages on sybase.com for details).
One of the things you can download (after filling in your name etc.)
are some documents with feature information. For exmaple, there's a
separate doc about the new native XML functionality.
