Hello,

I'm currently testing Manage Anywhere Studio (MAS) and i've probed the
live support using a pocket pc. The problem is like this; when i connect the
pocket to my office pc in a docket position (my office pc is connected to
the primary command server throw a LAN connection) and i use the live
support from primary command server console, all thats ok so i can manage my
pocket pc and so, but when i connect my connect my pocket pc in direct
connection using internet to connect to the primary command server, the live
support is enabled and actived, but no pop-up window is open into the
console about my pocket pc live support session. What's the problem? The
isn't the necessary bandwith to Live Support over Internet connection?

Thanks in advance.

Jose.

Hello Jose,

What type of Pocket PC are you using?

Does the other features of Manage Anywhere work (i.e.: can you get the device
software/hardware inventory, can you send jobs)?

Regards,

Hello José Ramos,

I'm using a Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC with Microsoft Pocket Pc v3.0.11171
(compilation 11178), Processor ARM SA1110 and 64 MBs.

The MAS works fine with other jobs like sending packages, software/ hardware
inventory, etc. but the only problem is the live support session that there
isnt't any pop-up windows on the console when i connect my pocket pc with
the primary command server using Internet, but if i connect it throw my LAN
Office (where my pocket pc is docket to my Office PC) then the live support
it's ok, i can view the new pop-up windows in the console and work with it.

Could be the problem the minor bandwith using Internet or what?

Sincerely, José.

Jose,

When you choose "Start Live Support" on the Pocket PC does a window appear
asking you if you would like to accept the connection? If so, when you
accept the connection does the Live Support icon appear in the System tray
of the device?

Yes, appear the message on my pocket pc and also appear the icon in the
system tray and indicate that the connection is ok, but into the console the
pop-up windows appear one seconds aprox. and desappear again. I think it
could be by the fault of connection bandwith throw internet. It is possible
or what?

Thanks
