Hi,

When I create a meeting in lotus notes which contain a different time zone,
the time zone is not set on the Treo 650. Further more if I modify this
meeting and replicate it then the time zone setting is lost in Notes.

Is it possible to correct this behavior? As the treo 650 as support for
time zone.

Thanks

On the Treo 650's you need to make sure the correct timezone is selected
in the OneBridge client itself. This is done by selecting "Time Zone"
from the menu in the OneBridge client and setting the correct timezone
that the device should be in.

Thanks

Mark

I think I wasn't clear enough...

Let's say that my current time zone is GMT-5, the Treo and Notes are set
to that, as well as OneBridge Client. Now, I have a meeting in LA, which
is GMT-8, that info is stored in the meeting document in Notes. When
synced with OneBridge, it reverts to GMT-5, which means the time is no
longer correct on the meeting. Basically you need to make sure you keep
the timezone info for each meeting, not as a global setting. Also,
modifying the meeting on the client itself should not tag the meeting
with GMT-5 if it has been set to GMT-8 in Notes (but you should offer
the option to do that).

Thanks,

Alex,
If you could provide an example of what you see it would
help. The Palm OS is complicated because the timezone
setting for the device isn't really used by the device. If
the actual GMT time of a meeting is getting changed it is
not expect behavior. If the timezone tag is getting changed
from PST to EST but the actual time of the meeting is still
correct in GMT because it has been modified on the device
with an EST timezone than it is expected behavior.

Thanks.

Bryan

This issue occurs due to the unique nature of Palm devices. If the
device is not set to the new timezone before the appointment has been
synced to the device, use the following procedure to insure calendar
times are updated on the device. Change the timezone on the device to
the one you are in, both for the device time and the OneBridge client
timezone. Open the OneBridge client and from the menu select TimeZone.
Once the timezone is set select the OneBridge menu item. Choose
Settings -> Actions -> Calendar -> Refresh. After the refresh is
performed, you should see the proper meeting times.
