Have a complex window with two columns that display a date.
One column is a date type and the other is a string.
These two dates sit on top of each other and have a expression in the
visible definition that hides one if the other is null.

The output is grouped by staff_no and I needed to sort by date as
well.

So what I did was create another computed field If(isnull( day ),
date(compute_sdate) , day)

Then tried to sort the dw by this field.
But everytime I run the app my whole app crashes after opening this
window..

So the problem is this computed field...

Any ideas?? Or is there a better way to achieve a sorted list..

Is your "day" column a date or a datetime?

Can you also define what is compute_sdate. I

f you have created a computed column and then referred to the same in
the calculation, you are asking for trouble - just a thought
