Hi,

I am trying to replicate from ADT to DBF tables (with DD) and having a problem
with null dates.

My ADT table has data fields which I am allowing nulls in. When the replication
hits an update involving a null date I get an error 5205.

I understand that this is because DBF's do not allow nulls but I would have
thought replication would convert the null into empty or whatever dbf's use.

Aside from converting my tables to VFP format, is there any way around this
issue?

Regards

Mike

I have just noticed that on date fields in DBF there is now an option for
'nullable'.

Is this new to version 10? What is the effect of using it?

We use R&R Report writer for our reports. What will it see in the field.
Will it be seen as empty?

Regards

I am now writing a script to go through all the DBF tables and set the nullable
field but I am not sure how to do this.

EXECUTE PROCEDURE sp_ModifyFieldProperty( Columns.Parent,
Columns.Name,
'FIELD_CAN_BE_NULL',
'FALSE',
'RETURN_ERROR',
NULL );

the above sets the field to allow nulls but how do I set the nullable option?
