Hi All,

I have a DW control that I has an MLE text column.
I need to prevent the users from using the Ctrl - Enter on this
column.

I succeeded in preventing the Enter key by using pbm_dwnprocessenter,
but - by pressing Ctrl-Enter, the user can add a new line.

Any ideas? Can the CTRL key be prevented in an editmask or format?

TIA
Mick

You can catch that by creating an event for pbm_dwnkey (see help for KeyDown
event (DataWindows) ).
You might also try the KeyDown(KeyControl!) function in the
pbm_dwnprocessenter event.

Thanks Jerry, I used the pbm_dwnkey and added a call to
PeekMessageA().
This resolved the CTRL - Enter problem.

My problem now - I also need to prevent Pasting into this column ,
either with Ctrl - V or Shift - Insert. For whatever reason, the
pbm_dwnkey with PeekMessageA is not capturing this action.

Anyone have any ideas on that?

Thanks.
Mick

I'll open a new thread on the paste issue.
