Hello, I sent a message to this news group in the begging of April,
concerning a wrong query plan. It seems that Sybase 11 version 11.0.3.2,
does a ascending scan on a clustered index, instead of just scanning the
last page when you want to know the MAX of the indexed column.

The answer was that this was a bug fixed on version 11.0.3.3. Since it's
impossible right now to upgrade (production machines), without some testing
first, my question is, is it possible to force a query plan that scans the
last page of the index ? ( I know it's possible to force the use of an
index, on a select, but I do not know about the plan itself)

Many Thanks
