We have a NT 4.0 server with service pack 4, Sybase adaptive server11.9.2
with EBF 8335. We run update statistics 3 times a week and along with
reorgrebuild and dbcc once a week. On occasions, the server will experience
a slowdown that it never recovers from. It will continue to have a slow
response even sqlsrv.exe is the only thing using any cpu time. The rest of
the time the server's cpu is idle. The only way to bring the performance of
the server back up is to reboot the server. Any ideas?
