According to the Appeon 6 installation guide for .NET section 5.2, the
end user must be an administrator the first time the Appeon web
application is run to download the Appeon Xcelerator plug-in.

Is this a true statement? Or can an administrator login in first and
then subsequent users will NOT have to be an administrator. The
reason for asking is that it is highly unlikely that any of our users
will have admin privileges on their workstations.

Is there any Appeon installation (.NET, Xcelerator, etc.) that DOES
NOT require a plug-in?

Chris

Hi Chris,
I am sorry to say when you run an Appeon Web application for
the first time, the Appeon Xcelerator plug-in must be
downloaded to the client. To install Appeon Plugin, it
requires the user have granted the privilege. Once the
plug-in install on a machine and the application is deployed
with choosing IE cache option for Application File Storage
Location in Runtime Settings tab page in Appeon Developer,
normal users can run the application without any special
privilege.
Regards,
Steven
