I an running PowerBuilder 10.5.2 (Build 7016). I have successfully
created and deployed a label which contains a picture (.bmp file). Now
I am trying to alter this label so that the picture may be a
different .bmp file depending on the value of flag selected from the
database. The properties for the picture object do not have a
'Visible' expression which lets me make the picure visible or
invisible based on the flag, so I tried to use the 'Width' and
'Height' expressions to reduce the size of the picture depending on
the value of the flag.

Problem: My expression "if( decal_type = 'A', 0.312, 0.0' )" does not
affect the size of the picture in any way. Have I overlooked something?

You can try using the code (Taken from PB Help - but I have used it
myself)

create a computed column and use this expression

Bitmap(If(decal_type = "A", [file_name or column containing the same],
"none.bmp"))// non.bmp can be an empty bitmap file which will not
display

regards

We have lift off! Thanks for the assist. I'm not sure that I would
have found that solution by myself.

You can also use the bitmap function to display a picture in a compute
based on the value of an expression.
