I was thinking that these could be quite useful, here are a few examples:

The ability to create a stored procedure/trigger that can be executed when a
particular error(695,time slice, infected with...etc) occurs, could be like
configuring for CSMD, but gives the user a choice of what to do.

The ability to detect configuration/performance/metadata issues and execute
user defined procedures/triggers to correct the issue, which fits in the
dynamic reconfiguration model of the latest release...

That *other* DB company has similar features, but not quite so configurable.
