Hi,

Is there a way I can turn off case sensitivity of object names in Sybase? In
some of the other databases that I have used, object name references can be
in any case whereas Sybase seems to force me to use correct case when I
reference object names. Is this a database level parameter?

Thanks,

Bhasker

Hi Bhasker

This is a server level option determined by your sort order which was
selected at the time of installing the sybase server software.

Refer to section in system admin guide:
"Language, Sort Order, and Character Sets"
This section explains how to change your character set and sort orders
and things to be aware of when doing this.
