In the process of fixing some PKVM bugs specific
to PPC-2003 devices (all will be in the upcoming update),
I've noticed that:
a) the INK control (aka "rich ink") used in that CodeXchange
sample is MUCH MUCH more responsive.
It keeps up with my handwriting.
b) the OS in general seems more responsive and
visually a touch "cleaner".

Yes - this is the first instance I've ever witnessed of a
Microsoft OS actually getting faster !

I surmise (totally unencumbered by true knowledge) this is
largely from compiling for the native XScale processor (hint
about future version of PKVM).

All this is with the iPAQ-1945 which is a low-end version
running at a "slower" CPU speed than my normal iPAQ-3955.

Reed;

Note: some users may experience a dramtic decrease in productivity. In the
PPC2003 release as of June, MS introduced a major bug that will slow down
your application considerably. Dell has just started shipping their Axim's
as of August 15th, with a few critical MS patches that remidy the situation.
So if you have purchased a PPC device before mid-August that has the 2003
O/S, I would check with your manufacturer as to whether your device has
these fixes applied.

regards ... Chris
