Is there a way to specify retry_attempts and delay_interval variables (UNIX
interface file parameters) on the NT platform?

Retry counts and loop delays are configured only programmatically
on the PC platforms. There are 2 properties(Loop Delay and Retry
Count) that can be set via the ct_con_props() api.

Can you elaborate on how to use the ct_con_props() api or where I can
find more detail and perhaps examples?

Thanks!

Bill,
You can use ct_con_props() only when writing C programs with Open
Client. Are you doing so? If you are using Open Client without
writing C programs, you can still get certain things to occur inside
the Open Client connection via a Run-Time configuration file. Look in
the
manual called "Open Client(TM) Client-Library(TM)/C Reference Manual."
There's a chapter in there called "Using the Run-Time Configuration
File."
That may be of service. It's available on the Web from:
http://sybooks.sybase.com. Go into Sybooks on the Web there (a button
on upper left) and get into the Open Client 11.1 collection (or whatever
version you're using). You can then find information on the runtime file

within the manual mentioned above. Here's the direct URL for it.

The ct_con_props() function is also available there, and here's the URL:
