Hello,

I am trying to get Appeon server 6.1 installed on a 64 bit Windows 2008
server and need some assistance.

App server (EA Server 6.2) is running and I am able to access the console
from the server and from a client machine.

Appeon appears to install ok, the appeondb starts, and it looks as though I
should be ready to go. Following the configuration guide I checked to see
if the ODBC DSN got created, It doesn't appear unless I specifically run
the odbcad32 from the windows\syswow64 folder, the configuration guide
indicates that appeonserverhttp and appeonserveriiop listeners should have
been created but they were not, Under the EAServer\html folder I can see
subfolders for examples but not one for AEM. When I try to run a sample
app using on the server it wants to use the 32 bit version of ie which
gives me nothing. if I use the 64 bit ieit will try to load the sample app
but I can't apply the plug-in.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sally li assisted me in this. regarding the appeonserverhttp/ iiop
listeners not being installed she told me that they had been renamed in Ea
Serever 6.2. We could still not get the appeon applications to start in
32-bit ie on the server but they will run on ie from other clients on the
network.
