Has anyone used the 3GB switch on a plain version of Windows 2000 (not
advanced or datacenter)

We have a Windows 2K box with 4 gig ram and I am considering using the 3GB
switch in the boot.ini along with the -cw switch for the database cache.

Thanks
Marc

Plain Win2K does not support the /3GB switch. I don't think Win2K Server
handles it either (contrary to our doc, even though I was the
proofreader for that section...). I think you need Win2K Advanced Server
before /3GB is supported. I'll look into it and make sure the doc
gets fixed if it is wrong.
