Has anybody used the same iAnywhere server for several Notes og Exchange
servers ?

We are looking into using the iAnywhere server for PIM in an ASP
environment. We will have one server for Exchange and one for Notes.

The Notes setup is easy. User is authenticated using the ID file and
password. As long as the Notes client on the server are able to connect
to the Notes server where the PIM is held, everything works ok.

But the Exchange settings are worse. Has anybody god any ideas on how it
can be done ?

I have forwarded this question to the ianywhere.public.general newsgroup
since it appears to be related to Pylon Anywhere and not to be related to
QAnywhere.

For multiple Exchange servers, you need to ensure that each domain trusts
the Pylon Anywhere server domain, and vice versa(to get the mail traffic
through, pass authentication, etc).

Are you able to use the Outlook client on the Pylon Anywhere server computer
to communicate to the different Exchange servers/mailboxes?

What specific problems are you running into?

Matt..

Thanks. I do not have any problems. I was simply looking
for a best pratice solution for our ASP enviroment.

And the answer I got showed me that I was thinking
correctly.

One server for Domino and one for Exchange. And the
Exchange domain must have a 2-way trust towards all the
other Exchange AD domain it shall connect to.

Thanks for your reply. You are must faster then our local
support.

I am not running info any problems as of today. I just
needed advice on best practice to regarding a multi Exchange
and a multi Domino setup.

And accourding to the answers my propossed setup was
correct. One server for Domino, one for Exchange and in the
Exchange environment there must be 2-way trust.

Thanks

You will need a separate Pylon Anywhere server for each environment. One PA
server to service the Domino environment, one to server the Exchange
environment.

Authentication routines are flexible throughout each config:

i.e. you could use NT Domain authentication against a Domino backend.

We do not support 1 PA server servicing both Exchange and Domino
environments.

Thanks
