Can 12.0 keep track of password history...so I can disallow a user from
changing he password to let's say the same as the past 3 password?

Basically, I want to check to see whether the new password is the same as
the last 3 that was used.

Is this possible in 12.0?

Thanks
Nick

Hi Nick,

Not directly. You could modify the sp_password stored procedure to keep an
md5 hash value of the password and compare it with the md5 hash value of the
"new" passwords.

hope this helps
