I am attempting to back up a 22 gigabyte database to a Compaq DLT 7000. The
backup starts and runs fine until it hits half a gigabyte, then it stops and
sp_volumnchange asks for another tape. Never had a problem dumping to a
disk and copying the backup file to the DLT, but I don't have enough spare
disk space to do that any more. The system is 11.0.2 on NT4. Any help
would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Kelly

You have to include the 'capacity=xxxxx' statement in your backup command
(the default capacity for a tape device in Sybase is only about 600MB).
