Hi,

We are using ADS 9.10.

We are replicating Data from Branch to Corporate Office.

We have Win 2008 Server at Branch and Corporate Office

All the Tables has a field UUID. And UUID's default value set as
newidstring("D")

And we are not changing the value of UUID from any our application

But some times replication stops. When we check ADS_ERR.ADT
we can find 7057 error

Sample

Error 7200: AQE Error: State = HY000; NativeError = 7057;
[iAnywhere Solutions][Advantage SQL][ASA] Error 7057: The record
update failed. The key value produced from this record was not
unique, and an index for the current table has the UNIQUE property.
The key value supplied for RIGHTSY0:UUID is not unique.

EntryID=255, Subscription=CGHBBY2010, Table=RIGHTSY0, Record=38166,
SQL=INSERT INTO "RIGHTSY0" ("USER_ID", "MODULE", "MENU_ID", "RIGHTS",
"UUID") VALUES ( ?, ?, ?, ?, ? ), Values=(SABIJA ,FO,03082,
,3bae7187-484e-4442-bbb9-b9555b02d49a)

What could be the reason ? will newidString("D") create a non unique
id ?

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Kiron

the chance to get a duplicate value on a GUID is really small, but it
still exists. I've never encountered it.

OTOH: you're setting it a default value and so there's still a chance
to overwrite it from the client application or any SQL statement and
the GUID data in your error message looks malformed!

Hi,

I have checked the code confirmed that UUID is not updating through
Application.

We have also find the following.

When generating a new record at the source, UUID is created as unique.
But when this record reaches at the target, it shows the error.. That
means there can be an error in the replication.

Regards
Kiron

Is it possible your Index is corrupt? It should be very rare, but it might
be worth a shot.
