How about adding commands to modify replication definitions ie drop columns,
and modify column definitions the same way you can now alter table.

Hello,

You can alter replication definitions using the replication command "ALTER
REPLICATION DEFINITION". I believe that any repserver version 11.5 or
greater supports this.
