Does anyone out there have a stored procedure that will page the sa upon
completion of a certain task (i.e when a threshold has been crossed and the
transaction log needs to be dumped)?

Hi,

I don't know if a stored proc already exists for this purpose but I have a
round about way
of doing this.

If you are on UNIX, you can use sendmail utility and if you are on NT,
you can use blat.exe which is a commandline email utility. By calling
this from an extended stored proc like xp_cmdshell, you must be
able to achieve the automatic paging feature.
